Why does the Hacking into MGM and now Caesars affect everyone?

We heard about MGM being hacked shutting tens of thousands of hotel guests out of their rooms in Vegas and causing outages and shut downs at the company's properties from Atlantic City, to Washington, DC to their gambling app. Now we find out, Caesars was also hacked and it's reported that they paid an estimated FIFTEEN MILLION to the hackers to get control of their company back. This is crazy.

This could affect all of us. For one, if you have plans to travel and perhaps stay at one of these very popular properties, who knows what kind of delays or outages you may face? Worse yet, all of us need to protect our own credit and money. Ceasars is promising credit monitoring and identity theft protection services if you join their compnay loyalty program.

There is of course, investigation going on to find out who is behind these hacks. Here's what is being reported today.

These two corporations focing on gaming were not the only victims. Clorox, the maker of Pine-Sol and many other cleaning products, say they were hacked as well causing major internal operational headaches. MJ
