Old Dominion Bids Farewell To Heartbreak, Decides 'I’m Finally Moving On'

Old Dominion takes an emotional journey through heartbreak and finally moves forward in the newly-debuted ballad from the band’s upcoming record, Barbara.

The record-breaking Country Music Association award winners released “Late Great Heartbreak” on Friday (August 15). Old Dominion’s latest offering from their soon-to-arrive 13-track album showcases the group’s signature upbeat sound as they finally reach acceptance and closure after a past relationship.

“I got flowers on the table and sunshine on the bed / I can have a couple drinks and stay out of my head / I can hear a sad song and not even sing along / So RIP to you and me/ I’m finally moving on/ From the late great heartbreak / I’m crossing off my ex/ And I'm paying my respects/ To the late great heartbreak/ Forgiven and forgotten/ I’ve bounced right off the bottom/ What will I do with myself/ If I'm not going through hell/ I picked up all the pieces/ Put ‘em back up on the shelf/ Next to the late great heartbreak”

“Late Great Heartbreak” is Old Dominion’s latest song to release from Barbara, following “Making Good Time,” “Water My Flowers,” “Me Most Nights,” “Man or the Song” and “Miss You Man.” The band — made up of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi — will release the full album on Friday, August 22.
