If you are wondering how to listen to the Olympics, iHeartRadio has you covered. iHeartRadio is the exclusive audio home of NBC's coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics, so it is the only place to listen to the Olympics stream. The free iHeart app is where to go to listen to exclusive play-by-play action of Team USA. To celebrate, we are spotlighting some of the country's athletes that are vying for gold.

Born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio, LeBron James is widely regarded as one of the greatest all-around basketball players of all time. His journey from a local prodigy to an international basketball sensation is a testament to his talent, hard work and determination.

James first gained national attention as the top high school basketball player in the country while attending St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron. His unique combination of size, athleticism, and court vision led him to become a four-time NBA MVP. He was the first player picked in the 2003 NBA Draft straight out of high school by the Cleveland Cavaliers. James made history when he became the first member of the Cavalier franchise to win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He also became the youngest player — at only 20 years old — to receive this honor.

Throughout his career, James has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers, winning NBA championships with all three teams. He won his first two championships with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, a third championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, and his fourth championship came with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.

In 2023, James became the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, breaking the record previously held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In 2024, he became the first NBA player to score 40,000 points.

Off the court, James is known for his philanthropic efforts and activism. He founded the LeBron James Family Foundation in 2004, dedicated to various charitable initiatives, particularly in the realms of education and youth programs. He has also made appearances in film and television, notably starring in the 2021 sequel to the 1996 hit Space Jam.
