Kelsea Ballerini Hits Back At Body-Shaming Troll On Instagram

Kelsea Ballerini had to put a body-shaming social media user in their place for leaving a disgusting comment on one of her Instagram posts.

On Friday (November 9), the country singer called out the troll in question who left a comment demanding she "lose some weight" following Ballerini's performance with The Chainsmokers at the 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York City the night before.

Not today, Satan!

Instead of stooping to their level, the songbird rose above the situation with an uplifting and inspiring message — but not without addressing her troll head-on.

"Hi troll. listen. first of all, I'm not a model I’m a singer," she fired back. "Second of all, I'm not responding to this to give you attention because you don't deserve that, I'm responding because I am a healthy, normal chick, which I pride myself on and work hard for, and want other young girls to see that and know that 'skinny' is not always the goal."

"And for you to think it's okay to comment on my weight or size is disgusting," she added, before signing off with, "I'm going to get a burger now. Bye."

The 25-year-old even topped off her empowering note with a GIF of Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants biting down on a hamburger just for fun.

Ballerini's post, which has received more than 124k likes on the app, also garnered support from actress Lucy Hale and Reese Witherspoon as well as fellow country star Kane Brown, who advised she "get two burgers."

You go, Kelsea!
